Zheravna is a little Bulgarian village tucked in the heart of Stara Planina mountain-with around 300 houses and over 500 people population, an architectural reserve, it holds a very special place in my heart.I will take you on a short journey (in few parts)through some of its cobbled streets on a hot Summer day.I hope you enjoy it :0)

Entering the village is always somehow emotional-one can instinctively feel that there is a lot to be found in this small piece of paradise on earth.

If you are coming to visit I strongly recommend Summer time when the grass smells fresh, the mountain is welcoming and green and all nature sings happy songs:0)

The village is an architectural reserve-nothing has changed since few hundred years ago-you walk on same cobbled streets under the roofs of oak timbered houses …as if time has stopped
I absolutely admire the way all buildings are incorporated in the surrounding natural environment-as if they are part of it.The attention to detail, craftsmanship and passion with which every stone is placed on its own place creates such a pleasant feeling.

The smile on my face says it all :0)))
..to be continued

Wow, this village looks incredible! Thank you for sharing.
